Tree Plantations in Kunau
July
31

The ongoing tree plantations continued at Kunau, a village located near Rishikesh. Sixty trees were planted at the Prathmik Vidyalaya (Primary School), and another sixty-five were planted on the premises of the Forest Office, bringing a total of 125 new trees to this area! Types of trees planted included mango, lime, kathal, jamun, and bahera among others, which will provide shade, fruit and medicine to the local people.

Local teachers, students, and parents from the school as well as other local villagers attended the plantation. State Forest Officer Shri Anoop Barola also attended the event and spoke to the attendees about the importance of trees and how both animal, forest and human life depends on their existence, thus encouraging all to participate and support the efforts to plant trees.
