75th independence Day Celebration at Parmarth Niketan on the banks of Mother Ganga
The 75th Independence Day of India was joyously celebrated all over India being “the 75th Amrit Mahotsav”. At Parmarth Niketan, the celebration took place on the sacred banks of Mother Ganga, graced by the blessings and wishes of HH Param Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji and Pujya Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswatiji, who were present in the United States.
The event commenced at the Shankar Bhagawan Courtyard in Parmarth Niketan, where Sant Swami Kesavanandji, Sadhvi Abha Saraswati ji, Shri Ram Anant Tiwari ji, and Dr. Sanjeev Kumar ji, the Principal of Divi Sampad Mandal Mahavidyalaya, hoisted the flag. The Rishikumars of Parmarth Gurukul then performed colorful and patriotic programs on the banks of Maa Ganga.
In his Independence Day wishes, Pujya Swamiji emphasized that independence grants us freedom from exploitation and cruelty, bringing peace. Likewise, our world now requires freedom from pollution. He emphasized the need for clean water and pesticide-free food, which contribute to good health and well-being. Pujya Swamiji also underlined the responsibility of the Himalayan people residing on the banks of Mother Ganga to keep her clean, protect her ecosystem, and safeguard India’s lifeline, ensuring the quality of water.
The celebration was a heartfelt tribute to India’s independence and a reminder of our collective duty to preserve and nurture our environment. Together, let us work towards a pollution-free world and a thriving ecosystem, honoring the sacredness of Mother Ganga and securing a brighter future for our nation.
