A special meeting with the His Excellency the Governor of Uttar Pradesh, Respected Shri BL Joshiji, was held at the Governor House in Lucknow. The meeting was blessed by Pujya Swamiji and led by Shri Ram Mahesh Mishraji, dedicated member of Ganga Action Parivar and Programme Director of Parmarth Niketan, in which rishikumars (young students of Parmarth Niketan) and volunteers of Ganga Action Parivar (GAP) lead a prayer for world peace and environmental preservation. The prayer was in memory of all those who had lost their lives in the recent tragedy in Uttarakhand and also for the peace and prosperity of the Uttarakhand’s neighboring state- Uttar Pradesh.
His Excellency Shri BL Joshiji acknowledged that the large rally, held earlier in the day, which brought together students and citizens of the city, as well as the continual efforts, to clean and green Gomti have truly blossomed under Pujya Swamiji’s inspiration and leadership. He said that Pujya Swamiji was heralding a new generation of aware and conscious- green- living all over the nation and all over the world. He pledged that in his capacity he was always ready, as a part the world Ganga family, to serve the mission of preserving and protecting our natural, cultural and spiritual heritage-Mother Ganga and all Her tributaries.
