Pujya Mahamandelshwar Shri Asanghanand Saraswatiji and Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji along with the entire Parmarth Niketan family, including rishikumars, staff, yoga students and volunteers, celebrated Vishwakarma Jayanti with a simple yet profound ceremony. On this occasion, Pujya Mahamandelshwar and Pujya Swamijihighlighted that purity in deeds is the true way to observe Vishwakarma Jayanti.
He said that we must always be vigilant of the flow of our thoughts as they have the power to change life’s quality and direction. He said just as the Hindu culture worships and prays for the purity of the vessels though which we work, whether for a carpenter it’s their hammer or for a receptionist it’s their phone and directory, each one of us needs to cultivate the awareness that we are simply tools in the hands of the Divine and therefore serve God and humanity with honesty, humanity, empathy and compassion. He said that whenever we wake up that is the sunrise, so He said that let us start rejoice and renew by cleaning and greening our lives and breaking free from the past and the future and coming together as one family in the present.
The events of the day included a collective feast, served by Pujya Swamiji, Himself, and the Rishikumars, and a massive cleanup of the Parmarth Ghat. The entire Ganga and Parmarth Parivar served with enthusiasm- as One- to remove the debris and massive siltation that had became visible as river water resides. Evening Ganga Aarti was preformed with prayers that the lesson from this year’s monsoon may help to transform each one of them as clean and green instruments of the Divine Mother- who teaches them vital lesson of how to give, give and give with no hesitation, no discrimination, no vacation and no expectation.
