Owner Driven Rehabilitation Collaborative (ODRC) joins Project Hope to dedicate their time, talent and technical expertise to the rehabilitation of some key regions of Uttarakhand that were left devastated by the recent flash floods. Together with the spirit of one team with one theme, inspired by Pujya Swamiji, the team left Rishikesh on the day of Raksha Bhandan pledging to dedicate the next few months to restoring and protecting the sacred land of the Himalayas.
They split into two teams to carry out detailed surveys and mapping. One team surveyed key regions in the Chamoli district while the other team stayed back in Pirodi village (Tehri-Garhwal) to work with the local villagers. These are some pictures of the activities and interactions of our Project Hope team, encouraging and motivating the locals to come together as one family to rebuild and reconstruct their village and pick up the broken pieces, starting anew.
