A Green Birthday on Mother Ganga

Pujya Swami Nalinanand Giri Maharajji from Patiala, Punjab, came to the banks of Mother Ganga with 500 of his loving disciples on the occasion of his birthday.

Swami Nalinanand Giriji shared that it was a true blessing to come home to Mother Ganga and to be in the divine presence of Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji, Co-Founder of Ganga Action Parivar.

As the River Ganga flowed serenely past, Pujya Swamiji and Pujya Swami Nalinanand Giri Maharajji took part in a special sunset water blessing ceremony, with prayers for a clean Ganga and water, sanitation and hyginene for all. Later in the evening, Pujya Swami Nalinanand Giri Maharajji, with his devotees, pledged to take the message of environmental preservation and green action with them wherever they go, and to celebrate all of their birthdays, holidays and festivals as green ones.
