Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji, founder of Ganga Action Parivar and President of Parmarth Niketan Ashram, Rishikesh led a special aarti at the VIP ghat on the sangam which was graced by the presence of Pujya Shankaracharya Vasudevanandji, Pujya Shankaracharya Narendranandji, Pujya Shankaracharya Adhokchajanandji, Pujya M.M. Swami Avdheshanand Giriji and other revered saints and leaders.
The aarti was organized by Ganga Action Parivar.
Prior to the aarti a beautiful dance drama was put on by devotees from South America who are part of Ganga Action Parivar, on the necessity of keeping our rivers clean and our country and society clean and corruption free.
As Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji said: “Here we have a sangam of saints, a sangam of Shankaracharyajis together on the sacred Sangam. Our dance drama showed us the importance of right company in guiding and leading our world to the right future. I am sure that with the blessings of our divine saints and the commitment of so many people from across India and from abroad, we truly can change the course of our sacred rivers from polluted to clean, natural and free-flowing.”
Pujya Shankaracharya Vasudevanandji spoke eloquently about the importance of protecting and preserving Mother Ganga.
All of the saints present deeply appreciated the work being done by Pujya Swami Chidanandji and Ganga Action Parivar.
