Ganga Action Parivar is nearing the commencment of the 2nd phase of relief operations by distributing the last round of essential relief material-such as  tarpaulin, blankets, wheat flour, lentils, rice, milk powder, ORS packets, Shudhu water purification tablets amongst many other items- to over 650 families in Gangdaspur, Panditpuri, Mahrajpur and Bahdarabad as well as some other villages of the Laksar area.

On this occasion, Vice District Magistrate of Laksar, Shri Uttam Singh Chauhan and Deputy Zonal MLA, Shri Vijay Gupta, representing MLA Shri Sanjay Gupta reached Maharajpur. The efforts were coordinated by Shri Vineet Kumar, Shri Jugal Kishore among others from the Ganga Action Parivar. Shri Pal Singh, Gangdaspur Head, Shri Raj Kumar, Panditpuri Head, Shri Ramesh Kumar, Gangdaspur Asst. Head along with Shri Jugal Kishore, Ajitpur Head and all the community members appreciated and lauded the efforts of Project Hope.

Shri Ram Mahesh Mishra, Program Director Parmarth Niketan and an important part of the Project Hope team, shared that after distributing in 48 villages from 19 gram-panchayats as well as in Uttarkashi, Project Hope efforts had extended to the Laskar area, who were also in need with massive floods devastating their farms and homes. He added that till date over 50 truckloads of relief material has been offered to those in need. He explained that as many organizations such as BSF, the administration and dedicated NGOs continue to provide essential ration materials the situations in the most affected regions, such as Guptkashi, have significantly improved.

This is why the team, which has conducted preliminary surveys, will be sending its next group of specialized team on the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan to conduct a more detailed green rehabilitation survey and plan the third phase of rebuilding and green redevelopment.
