Ms. Shaila Rani Rawat, MLA Kedarnath came to meet with Pujya Swamiji and the Project Hope team about what could be done collectively to help rehabilitate and recover the sacred Kedar Valley as a green and clean prilgrimage site. She was very impressed by the detailed plans and the dedicated efforts of Project Hope and looks forward to meeting with the team again very soon.

Afterwards detailed plans of creating an eco-village model for the state were discussed and the time-scale and plans for Pirodi-Tehri Garhwal were laid out. Pujya Swamiji expressed that Project Hope thinks that rekindling hope and empowering the communities in the flood affected areas will largely be from their schools.

He said that Project Hope will have first and foremost emphasis on rebuilding and strengthening schools in these regions as well as providing assistance to the local communities so that they come together to strengthen their community centers, medical dispensaries and take up rebuilding as one family with a focus on green and sustainable model of development.
