Ganga Action Parivar members participated in the second consultation workshop in IIT-Delhi with core members of the NGRBA and the consortium of seven IITs. This was an important meeting discussing the progress of the massive and comprehensive efforts by the Government of India (GoI) and India’s leading academic Institutions, the seven IITs, to create and implement a holistic Basin Plan. This plan will incorporate lessons learned from the previous restoration efforts by GoI in order to effectively work to restore the free-flow and pristine nature of Mother Ganga by 2020.
