H.H. Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji, Shri L.K. Advani (former Deputy Prime Minister of India), Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank (the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand), Major General Shri B.C. Khanduri (former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand) and many other political, social, and national leaders, along with thousands of attendees, launched the “Sparsh Ganga Campaign” in Gangotri, the source of the river Bhagirathi/Ganga. Thousands of people pledged to help clean and restore the Ganga River and her tributaries.
