A meeting was held with Chairman of Revenue Board, Shri SK Muttooji, who is also overseeing much of the work that is being undertaken for the rehabilitation of the villages in Uttarakhand, amongst the important topics discussed were:
~ the guidelines of the state for adopting villages,
~ the plans for eco-villages and green schools,
~ Smriti Van plantation and green pilgrimage in the Kedar Valley
~ a meeting to be held in collaboration with GAP and Navdanya in November to chalk out an appeal for a Himalayan policy and a National Ganga River Act to protect the sacred natural, cultural and spiritual heritage from further catastrophes.
Plans were made to have a follow-up meeting soon with the details of the above and to discuss more ways Project Hope could continue to work in collaboration with the government and other NGOS as one team.
