Long before Pujya Swamiji officially formed Ganga Action Parivar, He was guiding, leading and inspiring activities for the clean-up and protection of Mother Ganga. A regular activity at Parmarth Niketan, under His leadership and inspiration, is the Ganga Clean-Up. On all holidays, special occasions and regularly throughout the year, all residents, guests, rishikumars and pilgrims at the ashram come together to spend the day removing all the trash from the waters and banks of Mother Ganga. Further, He has organized large-scale clean up programs along the banks of Mother Ganga in Badrinath, Gangotri, Gaumukh, Rudra Prayag, Uttarakashi, Allahabad, Varanasi, and Jwalapur.
