Its Great Lake Shriveled, Iran Confronts Crisis of Water Supply
Only 20 years ago, this was a 35-mile wide lake, surrounded by tourist bungalows, bathed in by flocks of peach flamingos. Now, the lake is gone. “We kept waiting for the water to return, but it never did.” Let us not think this is a single case.
