Special Diwali Aarti, Pooja & Satsang
27 OCTOBER 2019, RISHIKESH: A very special Diwali Ganga Aarti and Satsang with Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji and Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswatiji was held on the banks of Maa Ganga, in the lap of the Himalayas, inspiring all that attended not only to light lamps in our homes, but to be the light for others. Divine wisdom, vedic chanting, sacred bhajans, and Lord Ganeshji and Maa Lakshmi Pooja concluding with a #GreenDiwaliPledge made the evening a truly unforgettable and inspirational one!
Afterwards, a special diya-lit divine Satsang in Pujya Swamiji’s Kutir further added to the magical evening and encouraged attendees to listen, learn, live and love each other for Diwali. The message of the night was how to live in love, understanding that the source of love and joy is not somewhere outside of us but rather inside of us. Pujya Swamiji offered a warm invitation to spend the night of Diwali in meditation, not only lighting the candles outside but illuminating the light within each of us.
Most-significantly because of its location right on Maa Ganga, a beautiful and vital emphasis was placed on celebrating a pollution-free, clean and green Diwali in such a way that our air, water – especially Maa Ganga – and soil are protected. These Diwali celebrations were a great tribute to the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modiji in his special Diwali Maan Ki Baat and his call to the nation to promote and scale sustainable and spiritual Festival Tourism in our sacred and Incredible India.
